area TA of Bonin
Acronym: TA
The term area TA of Bonin refers to an area of the temporal lobe of the macaque defined on the basis of cytoarchitecture. It occupies approximately the posterior four fifths of the superior temporal gyrus. It differs from area TE of Bonin in that the internal pyramidal layer is much more cellular than that of area TE ( Bonin-1947 ).
