accessory paramedian reticular nucleus (APM)

The term accessory paramedian reticular nucleus refers to one of three cell groups comprising the paramedian reticular nuclei in the medullary reticular formation of the human. The others are the dorsal paramedian reticular nucleus and the ventral paramedian reticular nucleus ( Carpenter-1983 ).
