anterior supraprincipal dimple (asd)
The term anterior supraprincipal dimple refers to a small horizontal depression variably present on the dorsal surface of the frontal lobe of the macaque. It is located near the frontal pole anterior to the posterior supraprincipal dimple ( Paxinos-2004 ). It has no equivalent in humans or rodents.
