mammillo-infundibular nucleus
The term mammillo-infundibular nucleus refers to clusters of neurons in the hypothalamus. They are located lateral to the fornix near the boundary of the hypophysis and the posterior hypothalamic region ( Crosby-1962 ) and may represent an extension or subdivision of the tuberomammillary nucleus ( Saper-1990 ).
