Carpenter published a somewhat abbreviated text in 1991 (Carpenter-1991) that was shortly thereafter translated into Spanish (Carpenter-1994) and Italian (Carpenter-1995). Most of the Spanish and Italian terms in NeuroNames appear in those translations.
