middle frontopolar gyrus

The term middle frontopolar gyrus refers to the central of three horizontal gyri located at the frontal pole of the human frontal lobe. Defined by gross dissection, they constitute the transverse frontopolar gyri. The other two are the superior frontopolar gyrus (human) and the inferior frontopolar gyrus ( Mai-1997 ).
